Massive MIMO (Massive MIMO) technology, one of the 5G scenarios, brings structural changes to the base station. Looking back at the evolution of base station antennas, its form has gone through stages such as the integrated antenna of the macro base station, the separation of the baseband processing unit and the remote radio module, the MIMO antenna, the active antenna, and the 5G Massive MIMO. Traditional 4G network (TDD) antennas commonly use 2/4/8 antennas, while Massive MIMO has 64/128/256 channels-which requires 5G base stations to change 4G base stations from the structure.
